Of course it was, I expected no different, because like most certificates it's basically just some rich asshole looking to make a fast buck off the fastest growing market in the States.
Basically create a certificate program do a little advertising, but after that invest in an ad campaign suggesting to companies about how great those professionals are that have the bullshit certificate said rich asshole invented to make himself feel smart and increase his bank account.
CompTIA offered their certificates and they were good for life...until of course some CEO didn't have a large enough bank account so decided to convert IT workers into cash registers. Lets face it rich peasants are fucking dangerous, they might come along and change the whole world rendering some rich assholes cash cow moot!
Simple truth when it comes to IT is this: The IT world changes so fast these days that a certificate some douchbag invented today is going to be worth squat tomorrow. What's all the rage now Cisco routers and Cisco Certifications, truth is if you can navigate around a html menu (which a monkey could do) then you can configure your Cisco router on your're own. If they don't have an html menu then get the fuck out of the stone age.
